the fourth day

as we approach the fourth day of what we claim will be the road to barcelona we all get not to good feelings. well we have wind and rain and somehow it wont get any warmer we find. it is all in the head and i think of going down to the spanish coast seeing my buddies again and having tapas. a smile comes to my face. i love to ride and i ride because i love the freedom it gives me. i connot compare it to anything else i do but it does give me the ultimate freedom. so we ride until the early afternoon until my phone rings. the news i get are not good, in fact they are aweful and make me feel sick the moment i get them . one of our riders has a heart condition and he has a thing in his chest that regulates the synchro of his heart. this thing went off six times the other day and his heart was not in a great condition, short of a heart attack. we all sat down in the rain. that was that, our tour just evaporated as we care for our friend as he was in a hospital now already. he is well now again and trains already again but not on hills or anything but he is back in the saddle and rolls and has his eye on the ball.

about us, well we only rode 680 km which isn’t what we wanted but we promised ourselves that we attempt this again, this year. but first we will go to malmø soon, on a weekend.

well life has things in store for you when you least except it and it really does happen when you plan for other things.

we never left anyone behind, ever and we never will.
